Just anxiously awaiting my VISA from the Chinese Consulate. They changed the requirements mid-April so we've had to jump through hoops. Oh well, if it doesn't work, I am assured that I can get a VISA once I'm in Hong Kong with just a 2 day wait.
Getting a little nervous..

Summer Travel Preview
Where are you going this summer, aggiedoone, you might ask? Let's see..
May: 99% chance I'm going to CHINA. You heard me. It's a business trip so I'll putting in long hot days working outside teaching people things, in essentially the same temperature and humidity I'm in now. But in CHINA! And I get to fly into HONG KONG. Just typing that makes me giddy.
June: Madison, Wisconsin--probably going for another work thing. Cool vet type meeting.
July 21st through August 1st--London, England and Ireland. Should be very cool, we're going with some high school friends and seeing all the major sights.
Discuss amongst yourselves.

Work day for Giftie Etcetera
Note: If you know me, then you probably know what I do for a living. If so, that is why I am using objects in place of a certain word. There are crazies out there, and I'm trying to stay on the DL.
6:15 am alarm goes off
snooze until 6:45
6:45 roll out of bed, dress, grab a bowl of cereal and lunch
6:50-6:55 out of the door
6:55-7:25 drive to work, listening to NPR, eating bowl of cereal (I know, I know!)
7:30 Change out of clothes and into work uniform
7:30ish check email for any high status to-do's or news
7:40-8:20 Do morning protocols/write treatment plans/check objects
8:20-12 Various tasks, depending on the day. Might examine objects for shipment, pack and ship objects, fix broken objects :), meetings about objects, showers, etc.
12-12:30 lunch
12:30-4:30 More of the same as in the mornings.
4:30ish drive home.
5pm--Home, say hi to cats, check mail, check email, browse the web
Dinner depends on whether hubby is home or at school studying.
Usually do a load of laundry, or dishes or some chores.
Watch TV, read book, usually simultaneously.
10:30ish shower (if not showered at work) and bed.
Lather, rinse, repeat.
Your mileage may vary.

sad news
Just a quick note to mention the passing of my wonderful boss from my last job. He was a terrific man, devoted to his family and a great vet. He taught me a lot and was very good to me while I was working with him. He will be sorely missed.
